Janaki Iyer's school Anand Bharati  is a unique school because it is a non formal school  and not recognised educational institution but it is very serious about education.

Janki Iyer is a seventy-year-old soft-spoken and gentle woman who takes care of the  needs of others. She takes over Bhagya’s responsibility of looking after her little sister  so that Bhagya can study. She loves Bhagya and helps her but also  scolds her when she comes late to the class. She is an excellent manager and also very  good at building huge social support for her school.
