It is quite true Lencho Lencho had deep faith in God but doubt on man. Although, Lencho’s entire corn crop was damaged in the hailstorm, yet he was optimistic about receiving God’s help. He did not sulk, whine and pine; rather he wrote a letter to God for help. And quite miraculously, the help arrived in the form a money order.
However, when he counted the money he found there were thirty pesos short in it. He immediately inferred that the missing money had been sneaked by men at the postal department. So, he wrote another letter to God asking him to send the rest of the money through some other means.
This shows Lencho had faith in God but doubted men.
