A substance carying free electrons is known as conductor and substance lack of free electron is known as insulator.
Charge is always in pair because charge is always in quantitiesed form.
Because the charged object is full of free charge on its surface and the other one which is being touched is in neutral form so the charged object losses charges to get stability.
Hope it helps you.

Answer D (1) - Glass rod if rubbed against a silk cloth, acquires a positive charge.
(2)- Balloon , comb (while rubbing in hair) are charged in case of rubbing whereas wood does not acquire charge.
(3)- difference between conductor & insulator -
conductor can pass the electric current freely whereas insulator can not pass.
conductors can be metal , salt water graphite...etc. while insulators are rubber, plastic, glass... etc.
(4) - to protect from lightening strike , we use lightening arrester (rods) device.
(5) earthing- in simple language , earthing is a common return path for electric current or we can say a direct physical connection to the earth. It is a reference point in electrical circuit from which voltage measured.
(6)- we should avoid electronic equipment of all types, concrete floors and walls.
