Cornea is an extension of the sclerotic layer of the eye which protects the eye from external damage.
The shape of the human eye is spherical and it's size is approx. 24.2 mm X 23.7 mm.
The nature of eye lens is biconvex and it forms the image of the object placed in front of our eyes.

The human eyeball is 2.3 cm in diameter and is spherical in shape

They converge the light rays , so that they fall on the retina
