The Iron pillar, now located in Delhi, brought here from Sarnath. It dates back to the period of Chandragupta II (also known as Vikramaditya), so it has a historical significance too.

Apart from the historical significance, its metallurgical property is also note worthy.  It hasn't been rusted in 2000 years. Metallurgical scientists suggest that it was made up of wootz steel, famous steel which has its origin in India, known for its durability, beautiful wave pattern and non-rusting properties.
