It is absolutely true the story is a study of human mind. It beautifully portrays the psychological forces that influence human mind. The most potent principle is the principle of treating others with love. Transformation in human mind can only be brought through trust and understanding.

Anil's goodness played a very pivotal role in Hari Singh's transformation. Anil's generous, trusting and credulous nature had a deep impact on Hari Singh. Anil started teaching him how to write complete sentences. When Hari Singh got an opportunity to run away with Anil's money, he could not do that. This was the transformation.
