Answer :

c. Sleeping sickness, Malaria, Amoebic dysentery

d. When our heart rate increases, speeding up our blood flow and warming us up, that is the cue for our bodies to release sweat. When sweat evaporates off the skin, it serves as a cooling mechanism to prevent overheating. Even though we sweat when we feel our hottest, it's actually our body's way of helping us cool down.

e. The main factors affecting rate of photosynthesis are light intensity, carbon dioxide concentration and temperature.

(c) diseases are caused by a protozoan infection, including African Sleeping Sickness, amoebic dysentery, and malaria.

(d) Water is released through glands in the skin, evaporates off the skin and the body is cooled. During exercise, muscles heat up more, so more sweat is needed. It is important to stay hydrated and avoid excessive heat during the hot summer months because we lose a lot of body fluid through sweat.

(e) Three factors can limit the rate of photosynthesis: light intensity, carbon dioxide concentration and temperature.
