1. Earthworms are called farmer's friends because they turn over the layer of soil when they go underground. This helps in ploughing the soil. Their faeces also enrichens the nutrients in the soil.

2. Tulsi, basil, chamomile, garlic, lavender are some examples of  medicinal plants.

3. Excessive fertilizer can alter the soil by creating too high of a salt concentration, and this can hurt beneficial soil microorganisms. This can also lead to sudden plant growth with an insufficient root system.
