The answers to the above questions are as follows:

This question is taken from the story 'The Lottery Ticket' written by Anton Pavlovich.

1. Ivan was satisfied with his life as he was happy with what he had, his income was twelve hundred a year, and was quite satisfied with it.

2. Ivan Dmitritch had no faith in the lottery but as he had nothing to do at that moment he checked the newspaper and he was unable to believe his eyes, he was shocked by figure 9499 and he dropped the newspaper on his knees.

3. Masha turned pale and dropped folded tablecloth on the table, it was pleasant and shocking for her at the same time.

4. They thought of spending their money on real property in the shape of an estate, new furnishing, traveling.

5. Ivan thought of Masha's relations, anger surged up in his heart against her, he knew she knows nothing about money and she is stingy, if she won it she would give a hundred roubles and put rest away under lock.

6. Hatred and hope disappeared and it began immediately to seem to Ivan and Masha that their rooms were dark and small, not doing good, lying heavy on their stomachs, they felt all this because the series number was 46 and not 26, they were devastated.
