Answer:

1) Atomic mass is different for different atoms.

2)An atomic mass unit is defined as a mass equal to one twelfth the mass of an atom of carbon-12. The mass of any isotope of any element is expressed in relation to the carbon-12 standard. For example, one atom of helium-4 has a mass of 4.0026 amu.

3) Atoms of most of the elements exist in the form of molecule or ion, since they are most reactive. For example, hydrogen, oxygen, chlorine, etc. However, atoms of some elements, which are non-reactive, exist in free-state in nature. For example helium, neon, argon, etc.

Explanation:

4) An ion is a charged atom or molecule. It is charged because the number of electrons do not equal the number of protons in the atom or molecule. An atom can acquire a positive charge or a negative charge depending on whether the number of electrons in an atom is greater or less then the number of protons in the atom. Ex- Captions positive charge and Anions negative charge. HOPE IT IS HELPFULL

Explanation:

1) No.

Atomic mass is different for different elements

eg. Atomic mass of oxygen = 15

Atomic mass of hydrogen = 1

2) It is defined as 1/12 of the mass of an unbound neutral atom of carbon-12.

3) Atoms exist in free states in the form of a molecule. Molecules may be formed by the combination of atoms of two or more different elements. For example molecule of water. It is formed by the combination of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.

4) The ions of all the metal elements are cations. A negatively charged ion is known as an anion. An anion is formed by the gain of one or more electrons by an atom. Example: A chlorine atom gains 1 electron to form a chloride ion, Cl–, which is an anion.

Hope it helps.
