1 Yes! Unemployment breeds poverty. this is basically because people having the potential or calibre to do some work are willing to get jobs but cannot get employed. So, these assets unfortunately turn into liabilities who can neither work, nor earn and as a result they suffer from POVERTY.

2What is the status of poverty in scheduled caste, or scheduled tribe? Answer: 50 per cent of casual workers in urban areas are below poverty line. About 50 per cent of landless agricultural workers and 43 per cent of scheduled caste are also poor.

3The big five factors of poverty (as a social problem) include: ignorance, disease, apathy, dishonesty and dependency. These, in turn, contribute to secondary factors such as lack of markets, poor infrastructure, poor leadership, bad governance, under-employment, lack of skills, lack of capital, and others.
