1. Temperature in °C = 40°C

Formula for converting °C to °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32

                                                    = (40°C × 9/5) + 32

                                                    = 104°F

∵ So, the temperature of the body in °F is 104°F.

2. The symptoms of marasmus are as follows :-

  • Dizziness .
  • Weight loss.
  • Dehydration.
  • Lack of energy .
  • Stunted growth.
  • Chronic Diarrhoea.
  • Shrinkage of Stomach.
  • Respiratory infections.
  • Dry skin and brittle hair.
  • Underweight or loss of muscle mass and subcutaneous fat.

3. When iron nail is dipped in Copper sulphate, it takes reaction between them and Copper sulphate changes its color from blue to light green.

This should determine more reactive than copper. This could replace copper from CuSO4, and blue color and FeSO4 is in light green color. It will change its colors due to copper iron nails functions.

Fe + CuSO₄ → FeSO₄ + Cu

  • The equation is already balanced.

4.

  • Sweating: in a hot environment we try to keep our body temperature constant by evaporating water
  • Urinating: our kidneys have to dilute some body waste with water to make it past our bladder and urethra
  • Defecation: our faeces still contains water, or it wouldn't pass our bowels. Mind you, most of the water in your intestine is retrieved, but some of it must pass out.
  • Breathing: In a dry atmosphere the air has to be moistened, or oxygen transfer will not work. Most of this moisture is breathed out (see the 'clouds' from your mouth on a cold day).
