1) the pilot is left in shock as he came to. know that the pilot who helped him to get out of the storm was not really present there.

2)No I don't think the black aeroplane actually existed as it was his just his hallucination .

3)he is curious to know about the black aeroplane as he wanted to thank the pilot of black aeroplane.

4)according to me, it was just a hallucination of the author due to extreme nervousness. he himself had helped him to get out of the storm.. hope it helps you
