2.i)Lench experienced a great feel of pleasure ,when it started raining

ii)A curtain of rain was covering the ripe corns.The corn were draped in a curtain of rain.

4.The raindrops are compared to coins of ten cents and five cents because Lencho knew as he was a dedicated farmer, the significance of rain before the harvest.The fresh rain before the harvest will fetch a good price in the market .(The corns will look healthier after a rain shower .The quality is enhanced and so Lencho compared the corn to rain drops to signify money).

5.Lencho was a God-fearing and had a firm faith in the benevolence of God,who he thought would certainly help him .God was his only hope.

6.The letter did not reach God but it certainly reached the postmaster who was a God-fearing and kind-hearted man .He decided to send reply to Lencho as he moved by the firm faith of a farmer in God,and he did not want to disappoint him .
