Answer:

1. Muscle cramps occur when there is anaerobic respiration taking place in our muscles. During anaerobic respiration, glucose gets converted into lactic acid which leads to lack of oxygen. A hot water bath or a massage can help in getting relief from the muscle cramps.

2.If a potted plant is over-watered for a long time, then the plant may die because too much water expels all the air from in-between the soil particles and water is not available for aerobic respiration.

3.Stomata are cell structures in the epidermis of tree leaves and needles that are involved in the exchange of carbon dioxide and water between plants and the atmosphere.

Functions of Stomata:

a.The main function of stomata is to open and close the pores in the leaves for an exchange of gases.

b.It allows the plant to take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen for photosynthesis.

c.Based on the weather conditions, it closes or opens its pores to keep the moisture content developed.

4.The oxygen in inhaled air passes across the thin lining of the air sacs and into the blood vessels. This is known as diffusion. The oxygen in the blood is then carried around the body in the bloodstream, reaching every cell. When oxygen passes into the bloodstream, carbon dioxide leaves it.
