Answer:

  1. Something that's treasured is cherished or prized—it's very important. If you're a baseball fan, your most treasured possession might be a baseball cap signed by Jackie Robinson.
  2. Ahimsa, also spelled Ahinsa, is an ancient Indian principle of nonviolence which applies to all living beings. It is a key virtue in the Dhārmic religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Ahimsa is one of the cardinal virtues of Jainism, where it is first of the Pancha Mahavrata.
  3. If you accept that animals have rights, raising and killing animals for food is morally wrong. An animal raised for food is being used by others rather than being respected for itself. In philosopher's terms it is being treated as a means to human ends and not as an end in itself.
  4. Ahimsa is the end of violent words, thoughts or actions towards ourself or others. You can achieve this with Ahimsa by practicing mindfulness, care, compassion, understanding and support for yourself and then the world and other living beings who share it with you.
  5. Satyagraha (Sanskrit: सत्याग्रह satyāgraha) is the idea of non-violent resistance (fighting with peace) started by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (also known as "Mahatma" Gandhi). Gandhi used satyagraha in the Indian independence movement and also during his earlier struggle in South Africa.
  6. It is also the last article of my creed.”(MM-23) Ahimsa was introduced to the West by Gandhi. His tactics and principles had influenced many leaders like Martin Luther King, James Lawson, and Nelson Mandela to name some.
  7. People who kill themselves have often told someone that they do not feel life is worth living or that they have no future. Some may have actually said they want to die. It's possible that someone might talk about suicide as a way of getting attention, in the sense of calling out for help. It’s important to always take someone seriously if they talk about feeling suicidal. Helping them get the support they need could save their life. The majority of people who feel suicidal do not actually want to die - they do not want to live the life they have.
