1) Lencho thinks that the post office employees have taken the remainder of the cash as he had demanded hundred pesos from God and within the letter, there was only seventy pesos. Lencho is certain that God couldn't have made an error and hence accuses the post office employees of stealing the money. The irony during this situation is that Lencho suspects the exact same people that helped him in his time of need. He thinks that the post office employees stole his money when it's they who collected the cash for him in the first place. He calls them a “bunch of crooks” though they are the ones who tried to keep his faith in God alive by giving him money.

2) When Mandela was young he realised that it was not just his freedom that was being curtailed, but also the freedom of all blacks. This turned the fearful man into a fearless rebel.

He left the comforts of settled family life to fight for a greater cause. He joined the African National Congress and this changed him from a frightened young man to a bold one who fought against racial prejudice.

3) Wanda was different from other children. She did not have any friends. She came to school alone and went back home alone. She always wore a faded blue dress which didn't fit her properly. Unlike the other children, she did not talk to anybody.
