Answer:

a)8 students

b)23,45,822m+34,28,192 m = 57,74,014m

Step-by-step explanation:

a) As teacher is distributing it is division.

So as now we need to find the Highest number of students we should find out the HCF Highest Common Factor of the number of books and number of pencils.

Number of books = 16

Number of pencils ✏️ = 24

Highest number of students among whom the teacher can distribute the notebooks and the pencils equally

= The HCF Highest Common Factor of the number of books and number of pencils

= HCF of 16 and 24 Factors of 16

= 8 students are 1,2,4,8,16.

Factors of 24

are 1,2,3,4,6,8,12,24.

Common factors

are 1,2,4,8.

Highest Common Factor

is 8.

Therefore,The highest number of students among whom

the teacher can distribute the notebooks and the pencils equally is 8 students.

b)

Distance already covered by milka = 23,45822m

Distance he has to cover to complete the marathon

= 34,28,192 m

distance he would have run in total = Distance covered+Distance remaining

= 23,45822m + 34,28,192 m

= 57,74,014m.
