Answer the following questions, after 30 mins there is my test. It's urgent.
1. What are the types of friction ?
2. Define static , sliding , and rolling friction.
3. What do you mean by self- adjusting force ? Why is it so called ?
4. What is limiting static friction ?
5. Name the kind of friction, that comes into play , when a book , kept on a collection of cylindrical pencils, is moved by pushing it .
6. Explain one activity to prove that friction depends on the nature of the surfaces.

Answer:

1.There are four types of friction:-

static friction, sliding friction, rolling friction, and fluid friction.

2.Static friction is the frictional force which keeps the object at rest.

Sliding friction is the frictional force on the object when the object is moving (or sliding) over a surface.

Rolling friction is the frictional force on the object when the object rolls over the surface.

3.Static friction is a self adjusting force bcoz it comes into play when the body is lying over the surface of the another body without any motion.

4.The maximum friction that can be generated between two static surfaces in contact with each other. once a force applied to the two surfaces exceeds the limiting friction, motion will occur.

I have not answered you 5 and 6 answer as i don't know the answer, hopefully you will get help from this answer which I have answered
