  1. During an explosive eruption the volcano will spew lava, magma and volcanic material which could travel several miles away from the mountain. The explosiveness of the eruption could also cause pyroclastic flows which would destroy anything within their path.

3. Various factors cause food spoilage, making items unsuitable for consumption. ... Microbial spoilage results from bacteria, molds, and yeast. While microorganisms may or may not be harmful, the waste products they produce when growing on or in food may be unpleasant to taste.

4. The number of heterotrophs found in desert regions is smaller. This is because in desert regions the number of autotrophs is less and this provides less number of sources of food to the heterotrophs which, in turn, affects the food chain.
