Explanation:

1. Human poverty is the refusal of political, social and economic opportunities for an individual to maintain a 'suitable' standard of living.

  • Individuals who are not able to access reasonable education, shelter and nutrition are subjected to human poverty.

2. Women, female infants and the elderly are deemed to be the poorest of the poor.

  • Women and infant females are neglected in poor households and they are denied social rights.
  • The elderly are seen as a burden in poor households as they don't contribute to the income.

3. Main features of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act of 2005 include

  • It legally guarantees wage employment to the adults of households in rural areas.
  • Provides unskilled wage employment for those without formal education.
  • Ensures 100 days of wage employment and equal pay for all genders.
  • The jobs will be allotted within 5 km jurisdiction from an individual's village.
