Harshacharita written by Bana, his court poet.

●Travel accounts left by Hiuen Tsang, the Chinese traveller.

2) ●The Pallava inscriptions mention assemblies known as sabhas consisting of brahmin land owners. These assemblies functioned through sub-committees that looked after irrigation, agriculture, roads, and temples.
