and assumed control of the western part of Roman empire which leads to its decline

the crusades got the taste of the luxurious

lifestyle of the east to meet the demand of luxury

items European traders began to establish

trade links with the east .as trade increased,the

economy of Europe flourished

Monks and nuns spent their days praying, translating texts, and studying Christianity. Also, as a result of living in self-sufficient communities they planted and harvested crops, as well as raised animals. Monasteries and convents were also known to aid the poor with food and housing, along with weary travelers.
