ankit8947: the voltmeter dont act as a wire , so the circuit cannot fuse , for solving question , u can neglect the voltmeter and simply solve the circuit and then calculate the potential drop around the voltmeter, and that will be the reading

net resistance is 2 , so current = 2/2 =1 A
so potential diff. between A and B is 1V

so, reading of voltmeter is 1V
