i) The Lakshadweep Islands (formerly known as the Laccadive, Minicoy, and Aminidivi Islands) is a group of islands in the Laccadive Sea region of Arabian Sea, 200 to 440 km (120 to 270 mi) off the southwestern coast of India.

ii) The countries that are larger than India are Russia, Canada, U.S.A, China, Brazil and Australia. Russia is the largest among all countries. The area of the Country Russia is of 17.09 sq.km, and India has an area of 3.28 sq.km.

Sri Lanka and Maldives are the two island countries which are the southern neighbours of India.
