Answer:

y+23=0, x-19=0

Step-by-step explanation:

parallel to x axis so,y= -23(below x-axis)

y+23=0

parallel to y axis so, x=19

x-19=0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:Answer the following questions i)Write the equation of a line parallel to x axis at a distance 23 units from it and below the x axis. ii)Write the equation of a line parallel to y axis at a distance 19 units from it to its right.

Solution:

i)Write the equation of a line parallel to x axis at a distance 23 units from it and below the x axis

Ans: Equation of x-axis is y=0,

because at x -axis y coordinate will always remain zero.

But The line,which is parallel to x-axis below x-axis at 23 units is given by

y= -23 or y+23=0

ii)Write the equation of a line parallel to y axis at a distance 19 units from it to its right.

Ans: Equation of y-axis is x=0,

because at y-axis x coordinate will always remain zero.

But The line,which is parallel to y-axis and lies right to it, at 19 units is given by

x= 19 or x-19=0

Both the lines are attached .

Hope it helps you.
