There is no substitute for virtues of love and sacrifice. Good deeds never die.
In the story The Happy Prince, Oscar Wilde beautifully portrays the power of goodness through the characters of Happy Prince and swallow. Happy Prince’s heart was full of compassion and love for the poor and destitute. Swallow also sacrificed accompanying his mates to Egypt, the land of warmth and abundance; but he decided to stay back with the Happy Prince. Both Happy Prince and swallow sacrificed everything for people around and ultimately died. However, God sent His angels and took the swallow and Happy Prince to His heaven as a reward for their goodness. Spurned by men and women, goodness is rewarded by God finally.
