Mrs. Pumphrey was fabulously rich. She could afford to be over indulgent towards her beloved pet Tricki. Dog was pampered like a spoiled child. She was silly enough to provide him everything like toys, day and night bed, melt,wine etc. which are even not available to humans also . Her impractical nature lead to over feeding of Tricki. She never wanted her dog to struggle for anything and provide him everything he liked . All this increased the greed also of the dog.
