(a)Ans- Landfill is one of the most important method of garbage disposal. ... The purpose of a landfill is to bury the trash in such a way that it will be isolated from groundwater, will be kept dry and will not be in contact with air. Under these conditions, trash will not decompose much.

(b)Ans- Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions (low pH).

Acid rain has been shown to have adverse impacts on forests, freshwaters and soils, killing insect and aquatic life-forms, causing paint to peel, corrosion of steel structures such as bridges, and weathering of stone buildings and statues as well as having impacts on human health.

(c) Ans- The most important issues that are associated with the enforcement of Environmental legislation in India includes. The polluter-pays principle, Freedom of information and the precautionary principle. Now a days the environment that we survive is highly polluted.

(d) Ans - Environmental ethics is the philosophical discipline that considers the moral and ethical relationship of human beings to the environment.

A set of environmental ethics is required in order to sustain the environment and make it a healthier one so that all the living species including humans can survive without any difficulty.v
