3.The narrator was panic-stricken while they were waiting for the asparagus to be cooked because the asparagus was very expensive and now, it was not a question how much money he would have leftover for the rest of the month, but whether he had enough money to pay the bill. It would be humiliating for the narrator to find himself short of money and borrowing it from the guest.

Answer:5 the waiter's contribution in allowing the woman to have a gorgeous meal was that the waiter coming to the table and her things like we have asparagus caviare salmon etc and at the end he bought a basket of pears.
