Dowry system in India is acting as a social evil . People asking for dowry as a condition of marriage are real demons of the society. In this system low caste family are suffering very hard and it infect leads to suicide. Main reason behind dowry system prevailing till now is education, Rural people does not have enough education about the laws and bridegroom family threatens them to give or they will shatter the marriage. The Evil has taken lives of women from all stratas of society. This system needs to be eradicated from the society.

Measures to control this evil practice :

  • Spread the words of awareness in society.
  • Be proud of your daughter and educate them.
  • Discourage the dowry infected marriages.

Answer :

Yes, I think it is essential to have a national policy on alcohol because children under the age of 20 started drinking alcohol which is very harmful to them because it leads the children to get depressed and suffers from many dangerous disease so we have to take action against it.

Reduce harmful use of alcohol :

  • regulate alcohol distribution.
  • restrict or ban advertising.
  • increase their prices.
  • provide consumer information on alcohol containers.
  • implement drink -driving policy.
