Ans:- Banjaras are a nomadic community of people, who are found in the northwestern belt of the Indian subcontinent, from Afghanistan to the state of Rajasthan. They are also variously called as Gor, Lambani, Vanjara and Gormati. Banjara art revolves around rangoli, textile embridary, tattooing and painting.

Q2. How did Ahoms rise to power?

Ans:- The Ahoms build a large state by suppressing the older political system of the bhuiyans, i.e landlord. They annexed the kingdoms of the Chhutiyas in 1523 and Koch-Hajo in 1581 – all during the 16th Century. Ahoms also subjugated many other tribes.

Q3. Write about the administration of the Gond kingdom.

Ans:- The Gond Kingdom was divided into Garhs. Each Garh was controlled by a particular Gond clan. This was further divided into units of 84 villages called chaurasi. The chaurasi was subdivided into barhots which were made up of 12 villages each.
