1) Lencho compared the raindrops with new coins because the rain indicated a good harvest that year. He was very hopeful that the corn harvest would bring him a good amount of money.
2) Lencho did not want the money to be sent through the mail because he thought that the post office employees were a bunch of crooks.
And they are the ones who stole the remaining 30 pesos out of 100 pesos which he had asked from God.
3)Lencho's house was the only house in the valley and the house surrounded by corn flowers. You can find good harvesting areas surrounded in the Lencho's house and the house is situated near the river and on the crest of a low hill .
4)Lencho's crops were completely destroyed by the hailstorm, he wrote a letter to God because he was the only hope in his despair. Lencho asked him to send hundred pesos to sow his field again and support his family.
5)Lencho wasn't right in calling the Post Office employees"a bunch of crooks" because they were the one who helped Lencho. The Postmaster respected Lencho's faith in God and collected money to help Lencho.
