Explanation:

)A flagellum is a whip-like structure that allows a cell to move. They are found in all three domains of the living world: bacteria, archaea, and eukaryota, also known as protists, plants, animals, and fungi. While all three types of flagella are used for locomotion, they are structurally very different.

)Xylem is the complex tissue of plants, responsible for transporting water and other nutrients to the plants. Phloem is living tissue, responsible for transporting food and other organic materials. Xylem consists of dead cells (parenchyma is the only living cells present in the xylem).

)Water hyacinth have large air cavities in the parenchyma tissue. For this reason it floats in water. These specialized parenchyma tissue which is present in water hyacinth are called aerenchyma. This tissue has air-filled spaces inside and because the air gets trapped inside especially in the stem part.

)Very concept of friction itself is to oppose motion. Hence, frictional force is always directed in the direction opposite to that to motion. When motion I mean, relative motion. The direction of frictional force will be always opposite to the direction of motion of moving body.

)Three human activities which leads to air pollution are: (1) Burning of fuels like coal, petroleum, kerosene. (3) Emissions from vehicles.

)The main types of antibiotics include: Penicillins - for example, phenoxymethylpenicillin, flucloxacillin and amoxicillin. Cephalosporins - for example, cefaclor, cefadroxil and cefalexin. Tetracyclines - for example, tetracycline, doxycycline and lymecycline.

)Photoperiods are related to the effect of duration of light on plants, animals etc. Photoperiods are duration of sunlight that influences plants in their growth, flowering, formation of storage organs, leaf fall etc. the interval in a 24-hour period during which a plant or animal is exposed to light.
