Answer:
A substance which burns in air and tends to produce heat and light is known as Combustible substances. Non-combustible substances are certain substances which are not combustible in the presence of air. Will not burn on being exposed to flame. Examples – Diesel, petrol, kerosene
Rapid combustion: The combustion in which the gas burns rapidly and produces heat and light is called rapid combustion. 2. Spontaneous combustion: The combustion in which no external heat is given is known as spontaneous combustion. For example: Burning of white phosphorus in air.
Complete combustion takes place in the presence of a sufficient amount of oxygen while an incomplete combustion reaction takes place when there is an insufficient amount of oxygen supply.
A - Combustible substance:
Substance that can burn easily in the presence of air or oxygen to release heat and light energy.
Non combustible substance:
Substance that cannot burn in the presence of air or oxygen to release heat and light energy.
B - Rapid combustion:
It takes place at a very high speed.
Spontaneous combustion:
It's a type of combustion in which a substance catches fire without being ignited.
