1. The narrator read the liver pill circular and felt that his liver was out of order. So he wanted to know more about his health and went to the British Museum to read about the diseases. He found that he had all the diseases, in some measure, from A - Z, except housemaids's knee. So he thought what an interesting case he would be from the medical point of view. He would be a valuable acquisition to a class. There would be no need for the students to go around hospitals to study different diseases. The narrator was a hospital in himself as he had all the diseases. The students could study all the diseases by examining him and get their diploma.

2. Harris and George packed the hampers in a very comical way. They started with breaking a cup. They squashed a tomato. They trod on the butter. George placed the butter on the chair and Harris sat on it. It stuck on Harris' back. When they wanted to pack the butter and searched for it they could not find it. They went round and round in the room till George saw it behind Harris. They put things behind them and could not find them. They stepped on things.

3. The narrator feels that tow line is a nuisance because after you roll it up patiently and with great care, like a new pair of trousers, when you pick it up after five minutes it gets twisted and becomes full of knots. It takes a long time to disentangle it again.

4.The three men complained about their health. They needed to get out of the routine life and have a robust trip to regain their vigour.
