Ans1 Air pressure is highest at sea level because the density of gases is highest in lower layers. Air pressure and height are reversely proportional to each other, which means air pressure decreases due to increase in height

Ans2. They are the Equatorial Low, the two Subtropical highs, the two Subpolar lows, and the two Polar highs. The pressure belt between the 0° to 5°N and S is called Equatorial Low Pressure Belt.

Ans3. Planetary Winds:-Monsoons

Trade Winds:-Brickfielder

The Westerlies:-anti-trades

Periodic Winds:-valley breeze

Local Winds:-katabatic winds

Ans4. The captain of a sailing ship seeks a course along which the windscan be expected to blow in the direction of travel. The term trade winds originally derives from the early fourteenth century late Middle English word "trade," meaning "path"

Ans5. The speed and direction of thewind is governed by three forces; the pressure gradient force (PGF), the Coriolis Force and friction. The main factors that affect wind direction and speed are: the pressure-gradient force, the Coriolis force and friction.
