The size and shape of cells in an organisms body vary. This is so as to suit their functional requirement.

1) Human red blood cells are circular and biconcave so that they can pass through narrow capillaries and transport oxygen.

2)White blood cells are amoeboid that can squeeze out through capillary walls.

3)Muscle cells are long and contractile to pull or squeeze the parts.

4) Nerve cells are long so as to conduct impulses.
