And then simple multiplication:

=> \frac{6.72}{4}

=> \frac{672}{400}

[ By dividing and multiplying by 4]

=> \frac{168}{100}

=> 1.68

3 +  \sqrt{8}  -  \sqrt{8}  -  \sqrt{7}  +  \sqrt{7}  +  \sqrt{6}  -  \sqrt{6}   -  \sqrt{5}  +  \sqrt{5}  + 2  =  5
