1) A government plays an major role in developing and maintaining economic security in society. It is responsible for managing and regulating a country's economy and stabilizing it for the benefits of the citizens. Governments are established with the intent to increase the people's potential for survival.
2) A central government is the government that is a controlling power over a unitary state. Another type of distinct but sovereign political entity is a federal government, which may have distinct powers .
3) India has been divided into states and union territories in order to maintain effective administration, maintain law and order, provide citizens their necessities and for overall development.
4) In addition to the separation of powers and system of checks and balances that guard against any one branch of the federal government becoming too powerful, federalism separates the powers of the federal and state governments as an added security measure to reign in government power.
