♦ Length of rectangle = 16cm
♦ Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm

Area of rectangle = length × breadth
=> ( 16 × 4 ) cm^2
=> 64 cm^2

Now, given that Area of square = Area of rectangle.
=> side × side = 64cm^2
=> side = √64cm^2
=> side = 8 cm

Hence, the side of the square is equal to 8 cm.
