In uniform circular motion the velocity is change rapidly because the direction of its motion is always changing. And as the velocity is changing we can say it is accelerating.

The acceleration is also variable because acceleration is also a vector quantity and it depends on direction. And as we know in circular motion the direction changes rapidly.

Centripetal force is the cause of this type of motion.

Centripetal force always acts towards the centre of the circular path which is taken by the object at circular motion.
