Let the ratio of students be = 1x : 2x : 3x

it is given that product is 162

so,

1x * 2x * 3x      =     162

            6x³      =     162

               x³      =     162/6

                x³     =     27

                x       =     3

               2x      =      2×3

                          =      6

                3x      =      3×3

                          =       9

        Thus, 1:2:3 =       3:6:9

 Total  students who got prizes for each value  =       3+6+9

                                                                               =       18
