Let total distance 's'

Let time coverd for first one third distance be t1

then t1=s/34=s12

t2 be time for next two journeys

2s3=2t2+6t2=8t2

t2=s12

averagevelocity=TotaldistaneTotaltime

=st1+2t2

=ss12+2s12

=4m/s

Hope thse helps u to understand my ans
