1) required to prove : ΔABD~ΔACD

proof :

AB = AC ( given)

BD = CD ( given)

AD = AD ( common side)

So ΔABD ~ ΔACD by SSS congruency

2) since ΔABD~ΔACD,

so angle ADC = angle ADB ( By CPCT)

we know that, angle ADC+angle ADB is a linear pair

that means angle ADC + angle ADB = 180° ---1

by CPCT we know angle ADC = angle ADB ---2

BY equation 1 and 2

we can take angle ADB in place of angle ADC

So by equation 1

angle ADB + angle ADB = 180°

2 angle ADB = 180°

angle ADB = 90°

so angle ADB = angle ACD = 90°

hence proved
