Given x = -2 and y = 6.

Given Equation is 3ax + 2ay = 6    --------- (1)

Substitute x = -2 and y = 6 in (1), we get

= > 3a(-2) + 2a(6) = 6

= > -6a + 12a = 6

= > 6a = 6

= > a = 1.

Therefore the value of a = 1.

Now,

= > 2(a - 1) + 2(3b - 4)

= > 2(1 - 1) + 2(3b - 4)

= > 2(3b - 4)

= > 6b - 8

Your question is incorrect!

Mohit123Sharma: at last it will be 6b-8
Mohit123Sharma: not 6b-4
siddhartharao77: ok

With the given information x=-2,y=6 we can find the value of a in the equation:

3ax+2ay=6
3a(-2)+2a(6)=6
-6a+12a=6
6a=6
a=6/6
a=1

now we know that a =1

2(a-1)+2(3b-4)
2(1-1)+2(3b-4)
6b-8.

This can't be further evaluated as there is no RHS for the equation 2(a-1)+2(3b-4).
