Given:

Object                  Fruit Price of 1 kg (In Rupees)

Apple                              ₹ 100

Orange                            ₹ 50

Banana                           ₹ 40

Pear                                ₹ 60

Custard Apple               ₹ 80

To find:

(1). Find out the price of  1/4 kg apple.

(2). How many kg custard apples can be bought from the price of 1 kg banana?

(3). How much is the price of  3/4 kg banana?

(4). How many rupees have to be paid for buying half kg of orange and three- quarters kg of a pear?

Solution:

(1). Finding the price of 1/4 kg apple:

The price of 1 kg apple = ₹ 100

∴ The price of \frac{1}{4} kg apple = \frac{1}{4} \times 100 = 25

Thus, \boxed{\bold{The\:price \:of\:\frac{1}{4}\:kg \:apple \:is \: \underline{Rs. 25}}}.

(2). Finding the quantity of custard apple that can be bought:

The price of 1 kg banana = ₹ 40

The price of 1 kg custard apple = ₹ 80

So,

If Rs. 80 is the price of 1 kg apple

Then, Rs. 40 will be the price of = \frac{1}{80} \times 40 = \frac{1}{2} kg

Thus, \boxed{\bold{\underline{\frac{1}{2} \:kg} \: custard \:apple\: can\: be\: bought\: from \:the\: price\: of\: 1\: kg\: banana}}.

(3). Finding the price of 3/4 kg banana:

The price of 1 kg banana = ₹ 40

∴ The price of \frac{3}{4} kg banana = \frac{3}{4} \times 40 = 30

Thus, \boxed{\bold{The\:price \:of\:\frac{3}{4}\:kg \:banana \:is \: \underline{Rs. \: 30}}}.

(4). Finding the price of a half kg of orange and 3-quarters kg pears:

The price of 1 kg orange = ₹ 50

∴ The price of ½ kg orange = \frac{1}{2} \times 50 = 25

The price of 1 kg pear = ₹ 60

∴ The price of 3-quarters of pears = \frac{3}{4} \times 60 = 45

∴ For buying 1/2 kg orange and 3/4 kg pear we have to pay,

= ₹ 25 + ₹ 45

= ₹ 70

Thus, \boxed{\bold{\underline{Rs.\:70}\: \:have \:to \:be\: paid\: for\: buying \:half\: kg \:of\: orange \:and\: three\: quarters\: kg \:of\: pear}}.
