a) Two factors on which resistance depends are:

b)
X- ammeter coz its connected in series and it measures the flow of current in the circuit.
Y- voltmeter coz it's connected in parallel combination and it measures the potential.
e) The original circuit is reduced to an equivalent resistance and a voltage source. that is less than the smallest of the individual resistances. When resistors are connected in parallel, more current flows from the source than would flow for any of them individually, so the total resistance is lower.
