hey friends !!

given

cos¢+sin¢=√2cos¢

(cos¢+sin¢)²= (√2cos¢)² {squaring on both side}

= > cos²¢+sin²¢+2sin¢×cos¢=2cos²¢

=>sin²¢= - cos²¢ - 2 sin¢×cos¢ +2 cos²¢

=> sin²¢+sin²¢= cos²¢ -2cos¢×sin¢ +sin²¢

{adding sin²¢ on both side we get )

=>2sin²¢=( cos¢ - sin¢ ) ²

=>(cos¢- sin¢)²= √2cos²¢

=>cos¢- sin¢=√2 cos¢ prooved here .

hope it helps you .!!
