Let the number of 20 Rupee notes = y.

Given,
Total number of notes = x + y = 50 .... eq(1)


Also,
10x + 20y = 800 ....... eq(2)

eq(1) * 10 =>
10x + 10y = 500 ...... eq(3)

Now, Equation ( 3 ) - Equation (2)

10x + 20y = 800
10x + 10y = 500

10y = 300
y = 30.

Now, x + y = 50.
x = 50 -30 = 20.
